Trying to get DD1 running well on Linux via a VM or WINE
I've tried VMWare Player and couldn't get over 30 FPS on menus even with my Windows 10 VM tweaked to run as fast as I possibly could(this VM gets 40-60 FPS on Paladins min settings w/o config tweaks), and through WINE the performance hardly hit 60 FPS on menus. When in my Tavern stuff would border on crashing/freezing if I just looked around. Does anyone have some tricks to this, or am I just ♥♥♥♥ out of luck?

I can play the actual Linux client over 100 FPS at all times outside of the Series EV crashes and random DCs from Trendynet, but I would like to play more recent content and be able to interact with the community.

Trendy is trying to get the Linux port up-to-date with the next patch, which should be out soon. Hopefully that will work out and you won't have to use WINE :)

Good ♥♥♥♥. I'll go ahead and start leveling stuff solo then. Any info on the Series EV crashes and how to prevent them? As far as I know the only way to handle it is to kick everyone who switches to Series EV and puts down beams.

I haven't seen those happen in a while, so they must likely were fixed in a update that the linux version didn't get
