Growing past the typical complaints of "eww bad graphics" or "terrible voice acting..." ARMA: Cold War Assault is a substantially aged realistic tactical shooter. It truly is a fun game, if you are willing to get past the fact that it has bad graphics by todays standards, and isn't necessarily content filled.
Gameplay: 8/10. The strongest point of the game, vehicular and gunplay can both be fairly entertaining, but a bit daunting as a single bullet means restarting the mission.
Graphics: 4/10. I said the graphics were bad, but that's because it is old. And old is it, the graphics are really bad, horrible textures, that kinda stuff. What did you expect from a game this aged, it's not going to be beautiful.
Controls: 5/10. Just like the rest of the ARMA series, it is plagued by clunky and awkward controls, which are further complicated by a huge amount of controls that you will 'never' use. If you do use them, it'll be only once and twice.
Overall: 7/10. It's really, really not that bad. It's a six dollar game, and those that can't run Arma 2 or Arma 3 could get past the age and have a decent amount of fun with it. Would recommend, especially on sale.
