FPS drops

Hi,
I experience bad FPS drops with this game, even at default settings.
Specs: plenty enough (i7-4700MQ @ 2,4GHz, 16 GB DDR3 RAM, NVidia GeForce GT740M, 1TB HDD).
Is there any fix for this?

Depends from how many AIs are there on the map and what sort of mods you are using.

The more AIs, the more slowdown. Mods will also impact performance, depending on how complex they are.

The single-player and campaign missions that come with the game and played with vanilla game should run well even on pretty old PCs.

No mods, stock missions. Argo (Arma III engine, I believe) runs perfectly fine without FPS drops.
That's why I am so confused...

Did you change anything in the settings like in the game itself? Because there is an option where you can change terrain detail, and you shouldn't touch that or else - FPS is just going downhill.

I set it to "High" initially, but lowered it to "normal" after the first FPS drops. Nothing improved.
