Is it fun enough to buy?
I have seen a whole bunch of both good and bad reveiws from dot 1. I have been wondering if the hickups (Like the AI) have been fixed or are just non-issues?

The walrus ai is by no means perfect but there is a lot of good gameplay on offer if you can live with the odd pathfinding issue. Totally fun enough to buy imo.

AI still sucks, a lot, and early game letting the AI run your walruses over enemy bases for no reason can ♥♥♥♥ up your resources.

Overall the game looks like the half of a great Carrier Command remake but that got canceled and thrown to the trash bin like an unloved child.

There is no mod, no MP (wich is awful coming from an RTS) no customization option and before you fight the enemy carrier the game is too easy if you just wait for everything, first person sections wich are forced for the story to go on sucks, weird coming from BIS, so you shouldn't pick it up unless deal of over 50%/60% off.

Its a mixed bag... Fun can be had. But in the campaign you have to take half the islands and endure the painful FPS bits to get there. ONce the enemy carrier pops up in the campaign its alot better. Fewer annoying fps bits and you get lot of different weapon, armor, and do dads to play with.

You missed the 80% off sale. It was easily worth it then.
I hated it.
There is a glitch that can help u win the game super fast.

I like it. Could have been better. Maybe next remake will be worthy of the original.

I started with the campaign....which honestly was sort of painful for the first half. The last was decent. The capture the island stuff is actually pretty good. Glad I stuck with it. But it certainly could be better. Oh I would prefer 2x the apc things. And more ships, more options for islands. Like controlling their defenses. But then you brake away from the Gaia thing right?

Taking what works here for a sequal or something along same lines.. With the UGH parts removed. YA i would buy that.

Just like i said, Gaea Mission looks like an undone fantastic carrier command.

As of what i would like, i am surprised that nobody said it before, but i want the infantry as a resource for you to use, there is no reason why not to use or create the androids that the enemy island had already if you take full control of it, and they could replace 1 or 2 slots of the Walrus to fit in a squad of sorts, after all, you can pretty much compare the Walrus not to a tank, but to a LAV, so it makes infantry just logical.
