I think the generator puzzle is broken.

I've played this game before, way back when, though I don't have all the puzzle solutions memorized. I got the generator puzzle (the II building) and input the correct answer that routes the water through both generators in the correct direction, but when I pulled the lever outside it said the water was encountering water from another direction. I went back and checked all the connections to make sure that wasn't the case (it wasn't), but it wouldn't accept that as the answer. So I looked up the "real" answer on a hint site and input that, even though that answer basically just routed the water straight to the output pipe without going through either generator, and it worked. So it seems like something with this puzzle got copied over from the old version of the game (this was an old hint site) and doesn't make sense in the new version.

Ok, I remembered why my solution didn't work, because I did the same thing the first time I played. The water isn't meant to go around in a circle, it has to go the same direction through both generators. I mistook the other solution for working simply because the water didn't encounter any problems, but it didn't actually turn on power. Hint sites are not always right!

Both generators have to have water flowing in the same directions. That way you'll get 100% on the outside pannel when you pull the lever.
