What is this?
I've played Gothic 3 on the cd and this seems different on the store page. Could anybody explain?
Thanks.

Forsaken Gods is a non-canon stand-alone sequel made by another developer after Piranha Bytes parted with Jowood, their publisher.
It reuses and takes place in the area of Myrtana from Gothic 3 and also has the exact same gameplay.

My experience with is was pretty buggy to the point where I just gave up trying to get past the bugs. I was using the latest community patch.
Though other people seem to have more luck with the game.

So is this the same exact game, except with some new weapons, armor, monsters, and graphics?

This is a game which isn't FNAF, which is a game you should totally have
This game is much harder than Gothic 3. You fight and play the same way BUT, here's the catch:

1. The blocking in Gothic 3 is VERY easy to break and plus if your enemies/opponent's endurance is depleted while they're still blocking, their health starts to drain. I guess you can say their health is the new endurance.
Gothic 3 Forsaken Gods on the other hand, the fighting style is the same, but the blocking has been DRAMATCALLY increased. If you trying to fight an opponent that has their block up, you CANNOT penatrate it and it stops your attack on the spot. Do I need to say more about trying to fight a herd of people.....?

2. The enemies here are stronger and tougher than they were in gothic 3. Take the Scavanger for example, in the gothic 3 version, even if you are weak in strength, you can take them out in one hit depending on what weapon you are using, and you can kill them easily before they even get a chance to attack.
Gothic 3 Forsaken of the Gods on the other hand, The scavanger will kill you very quickly and if you have a group of them, you'll end up being food for everybody on the menu. Also you need to level up alot in other to withstand the enemies you encounter.

I have more to explain but I will leave 2 these reasons up for the beginners for right now as i'm still experiencing the game. If you have any questions feel free to ask. :)

No its not. This is an add-on with a different story, different quests, re-worked graphics and combat.
