Co-Op in Faith in Destiny
I was looking at the patch notes for the game and the update in Feb/March states that Co-op has been fixed.

I recerntly purchased the game from the Humble Bundle and gifted a copy to a friend so that we could play the campaign together. The only quest map for our level (1 to 30 Westward) Doesn't appear when we host it. I've been searching the interwebz for a fix and I've yet to find one.

Anynone care to help? Give advice?

Westguard is the "starting" area and the place that your avatar returns to when he needs to sell off his extra items and pick up extra quests. It's a one player map, so nobody else can join it as you take up the only open slot available. Also, the other maps aren't "locked" they are just greyed out to show that you're not quite ready to take them on yet. Your units level up with you, so it's very important that you get started properly (below) or you'll get completely steamrolled in a fight even with your strongest units.

To get started, go into Free Game mode in Singleplayer(!) and start up the Westguard map, run to speak to Tor Halicos (http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=183974369) and choose the "I am ready to join the Hand of the Dragon" dialogue option. This will give you your first quest, the levels you need and allow you to pick your first companion. Pick any one that you think is cool but bear in mind that if you want to be able to customise their skill trees, pick one of the companions standing in the line starting with "Adventurer". Pick up any other quests you can find and then escape -> Quit game. It'll save your avatar automaticallly.

Your first mission (Rushwater Downs) can seem a little daunting but don't worry. Although you have the quest to defend the two towns, it's only a secondary objective that grants you more experience if you do it successfully. You will still get experience if you defeat the two AI undead players even if they've managed to destroy the places you had to protect, so finish the game regardless.

To start, quickly build your resource buildings and spam workers. Then build your basic barracks building and crank out 10 basic units and immediately send them to the nearest town to defend. Have your friend do the same for the other one. Put them outside the entrance to the town and just leave them there, they will defend if anything gets close. The reason for doing this? The AI will never attack you first, each AI is set to destroy the town directly below it before it goes for any actual players. So if you hold them at the gate and delay them from destroying the town, you get your bonus xp AND an easy game where you'll never need to defend your own base.

After that, tech up fully and go straight for your strongest ranged units and Titan, just mass 'em. Then take any remaining units that you have left over from defending the towns and go on a rampage in the enemy base. Remember that their strongest unit is either the Skeleton Knight or the Undead Cat things, so focus those down first. Then begins the hunt for stray workers and resource camps, have your own workers build towers in the cleared out enemy base to make your life simpler.

When you're finished, remember to clear out the static camps around the map, there are special named units that drop loot and a small amount of xp when they die.

Hope this helps, enjoy Free Game mode.
