Is this game worth buying?
Do people still play the multiplayer, is it active? Is it worth buying and playing?

I did play the first one and the AI was dumb as hell. Was that improved on this one?

You are talking about multiplayer right?

This game runs fine on most pcs, I dont know what the problem with BelgarionNL pc is. I have never had any problems runing it (but i do have all settings on low, except screen res which is maxed, I have over 700 hours on steam copy, and god knows what on non steam copy, and however many hundreds of hours on just men of war and all the earllier ones. I think this is the best RTS game ever. That said there are a few issues with it, the gayspy networking is a bit rubbish, but usable. There are a few minor bugs/glitches that arnt really worth mentioning. I usually only play skirmish, as vs is like all games, pro's on team A, nubs on team B.

at only $20 this game is one of the greatest games I've ever played, there are usually people on playing multiplayer around the clock, and I have over 250 hours playing this game in only a year of ownership. I'm not bored, and I don't think this game will ever get boring with the vast mod community out there! :D Good enough to take on the Total War Series and give them a damn good run for their money.

It is a good game, but somtimes it can be hard to find a good multiplayer match.

It is more the question what kind of games you like. The single player maps are pretty bare and become easy after you've done some, though there are more than enoughmods which include skrimish maps created trough the game editor. The game is very mod friendly so you won't have a problem with that. A better question would be, what kind of strategy are you interested in. This game focuses heavily on controlling one unit at a time and use it at it's fullest, that's one of the reason i bought it. I love games with so much possibility. At the same time, this also means it's more a game of caution and striking at the right moment. A single shot can damage or take the tank out for the whole game. This definatly isn't like company of Heroes and Command and Conquer, and is one of the most realistic strategy games there are out there, so be sure to be willing to take good care of everything(and ofcourse the direct control mode). i suggest taking a look at people showing the gae on youtube so you will have an image how battles usually go.

now to the multiplayer, is it active? i say it definatly is. There aren't alot, but more than enough to create matches on a fast rate, and there are always some going on, but be ready for some resistance. Some of them played this game for 2 years. There are still some new guys, but still stand ready for some heavy competition. You will sometimes be lucky, and sometimes you're just against someone who is better. i've played multiplayer for 3 months or longer and i'm still getting crushed. I suggest to either go on on one or two on two against medium or new players or join a large match with a friend who is also new and both go on a different side to balance things out.

there are often some lag issues, and the game requires a pretty good computer. So you can expect people dropping or some matches ending.

In my opinion, it is a good game. It really fits my kind of style and is alot of fun playing missions with my friends or fighting against them. It definatly will keep you busy, especially some of the mod missions is use which take three hours to complete from time to time and the game has been keeping me busy for around 300 hours.

mow:as runs good on my pc (amd x3 - 4 gb ram - 8750) no problems

played yesterday 4 matches 1on1 and it took about 1-2 minutes to find a opponent. no problem

i still think (after played mow & mow:as for hunderts of hours) its the best (and hardest to master) strategy game. many ppl are disappointed because they played games like company of heroes before and still think the can pass a mg with infantry without any dead soliders. or ppl send tanks out behind the enemy lines without inf support or direct control....nope guys this isnt coh where inf survive for hours in a house when a tank is fire at them =)
it also have some funny moments....when you shoot at a tank, the bullet miss it and kill an arty behind the fog of war >.<

Good and cheap game. Exceptional GSM MOD. Only blame is refund but with latest patches its spamming effects have been reduced. It runs greatly on my 4 years old rig (E8400 + Radeon 6850 + 4 Gb SDRAM). I don't think U'll find kinda of troubles looking for multy games (... pay attention to log term players for they could be too hard to play with or against for a noob). ;)
