I had this game for more than a year using Windows7 pro 64bit, GTX460 card and i5-760processor, no run problems, with the latest patch now able to multiplay

What about SLi support I have three cards and only one is used, they should fix that or is there a patch that I don't about.

I use 2 580s in card usage is for example 99% and 10% not sure what that 10% is used for but im guessing its not for SLI unless there is a community patch. The game runs well with one card though

I had been running WinVista (32bit) and IL2-CoD would run but just barely. FPS around 10 to 15 which is unplayable and that's with everything turned way down.
So I upgrade everything including OS to Win8 and now it doesn't run at all, since its never run well b4 Im not missing much. My specs r 250 Gb SSD, i7-3770 cpu, intel mobo DZ77GA-70R with 8 Gb men with Win8

Yeah i have heard that its not running in Windows 8....Its not the only game to not run on 8 mind...Do a google search to see if anyone has managed to get it working on Windows 8. As for come your were running it at 32bit if you got 8GB? you do know 32 bit cant use all of that RAM dont you? You also never listed your Graphics card that aswell could be why you have such low frames

I had to find out a few things (e.g. how to use downsampling on AMD Cards) but now it is very nice to play. Looks pretty good with downsampling and SMAA and performance is ok with my custom settings between medium and high on AMD Phenom II 955BE @3,6 Ghz, 16 GB RAM DDR3 1333, AMD HD 6950 2GB @900/1250, shaders unlocked, Asrock 890 GX Extreme3 Mainboard, Windows 7 Professional 64 bit, Catalyst 12.10, IL2 CloD@2304x1440 (downsampled to 1680x1050) +SMAA.

1C Forums are a good source for informations ;)

So programming my joystick (X52) is currently the biggest challenge :D

It runs great on my setup, FPS wise, but still crashes from time to time. It's probably 1 crash in 5 or 6 hours of play or so. It's nice that it's still being patched from time to time, and only gets better as they like to add things to the game when it does get patched.

What I think might help with the frame rates is to back off on the clouds, there's 2D clouds that well not slow you down but when the 3D clouds show up it drops the frame rates big time. And with all set on high runs good over land and sea, just a thought.

Try set special effects on middle - this optimise clouds, fire and smoke.

Yes, game have many bugs, but if you want to play - some issues not problem.
This is simulator and without stick playing very hard. Maybe gunner or bomber. But you can't fly in dogfight very well.

@Sandman You can use a X360 controller according to Steam. Its definately worth getting...Online is worth price

Don't judge this game as long as you haven't played it! I am playing for 2 weeks now and it runs really fine on medium/high settings. You should be aware that this is a flight simulation. Playing it without (at least a simple) Joystick will be frustrating.
