How to turn the sound off?
Any ideas? I launched the game only for cards, so i don't need this lovely 8bit music. There's no such point in options. Does anyone know?

I wish it had that option too.. :( unless you are playing on Win8 which lets you change the volume for each app running... (but I usually on my mac, not on win)

If you're on Windows, right click on the volume button on the right side of your taskbar. Open the Volume Mixer. From there you can mute any currently running program.

Awesome. Shame the other two didn't see that there was a more competent answer around.

No. The whole pointing of wanting to mute from within the game is so you can use your speakers for something else. Muting from the computer mutes everything.

Those of you muting your game, not only are you missing out on the soundtrack, but the game is literally about timing your jumps to the music. It's harder to play without listening to the sound, and that's how a lot of the better players perfect the game.

Exactly. The entire purpose of playing this game is for the music and sound. It's a rhythm based game. If a person turns off the sound then what's even the point of playing anymore. That's like buying a first person shooter and then deciding to never shoot your guns.

Did you guys read the starting post? I launched it for cards, not for playing. Those were lovely days when there was no idle master or stuff.:smug:

I did, but other people were actually muting it during gameplay. If you still need a solution (which I doubt) and you're on Windows you can right-click the volume icon in your taskbar tray and open the volume mixer, where you can individually mute and unmute programs. You can also change the volume of specific programs. :3
