I get so much lag when I play this game. How do I fix it?

You can opt to use older openGL shaders. Right-click the game, click "Properties"->"Betas" and pick, "wingl_unsupported - Old OpenGL builds..."

This will turn down the graphics, but adds a little more work to your processor. But, it shouldn't cause too much of a problem.
