Linux version
I bought bit.trip runner with a humble bundle and activated it in steam. It shows for windows, but not for linux although there exists a linux version? would you please make it available through the steam client?

my best guess would be that they hired someone for the linux version to port but putting it on steam cause some issues with that for some reason(who developed it etc.)

Actually I can now install it on Steam. But it says "missing executable" or something

Ah, yes. Another game to add to my "Linux - Broken" category.

He just said that there is a working linux version but that it just isn't on the steam store. He did not say that the linux version doesn't work.

It's not downloading anything at all - 0/0 bytes downloaded. Not much of a port! :( :(

Seconded: "Browse local files" leads to an empty directory.

just installed on linux and steam decided to... install the windows version? (.exe executable). Try downloading the .tar.gz from the humble bundle website, extract, and read the README for installation steps.

hmm.. still no exec for Linux

"Missing Executable" error.

I'm sure this worked before - did the devs go away

i just euh, found out that it wont run on linux, actually the linux client seems to have very llittle support ... the one i downloaded from the site didnt work, i had to manually delete the lib directories that come with it then re-run a few times so it downloads the correct ones itself (something where your average windows user would already f ..ork off, and a bit disrespectful to linux users imo) then the first game on the list listed downloads in zero seconds, gives no errors in the logs but has zero files in the game folder (clearly missing .exe there, missing everything more like)

so i contact support :
"The fact that it does appear under SteamOS + Linux in your library is a bug.

Thank you for taking the time to report this issue.

Along with reports submitted directly to Support, The Steam team uses a number of community sources to help investigate the frequency and severity of issues like this. These issues are continually being addressed through Steam Updates. Support does not provide any information on upcoming or planned fixes.

I would encourage you to search for the issue and post about it in one of the more active Steam community hubs, as other users may be experiencing the same thing.
"
Which made me like "oh" issue resolved but i see the post here dates back to 2014 so it translates as "you're not worth the time" lol ... its one simple click in the database and i suppose im not the first to report but its clearly not worth the time ... thats disrespectfucl to the customer again im afraid:FFXIII2mirochu

so yea ... if you're on ubuntu or mint, download the appropriate .deb from humblebundle (who still have this "bitcoin disabled" on EVERY bundle i see and no sofort to buy bundles, only from the store ..??!? thats like telling customers sorry, unless you adapt to our payment system you aint get none
installing .deb packages should be as straightforward as installing a downloaded .exe on windows only you will most likely need permissions (root password) so if you just wanna play on linux no prob . If you only have linux / steam and you want the achievements, no luck. I bet you can have it removed but it will likely be removed from windows too. This is a clear case of dev/support "not having time" or not being paid enough (lazy is only for unemployed people, right) to alter one single cell in a database and fix this, its not like a listing has impact on performance anywhere ... one flag saying checkbox linux somewhere
