Sniper Elite V2
Sniping was good however no Iron sights on pistol or other weapons. How poor not to have Iron sights in the PC game for all side arms and none scoped rifles. It is just daft and makes the game feel half finished and takes away the enjoyment factor. How poor was Rebellion with there research on MP40 and Thomson. Fire rate of a thomson is normally 800 rounds mini and MP40
500 to 550 rounds. Thomson could jam if dirty, but MP40 had a superb firing mechanism.

It is only a game, but I whish some time developers would do there home work on consumers as well as there facts.

When they "give you" an assault rifle, and call it a sub machine gun,the MP44,which in this time period was issued to the troops as an assault rifle, with select fire and about 35 percent were issued with 2.5 power scopes, you really think they're going to give you iron sights on all non scoped weapons!?!?!

The weapons have specific characteristics to differentiate them and balance their usage.

Plus, if they just gave you iron sights on everything that would take the focus away from SNIPING!
Your pistol and asault rifle should only be used when you get yourself in a crappy situation and not the be all of solutions.

If your just looking to use iron sighted weapons, then go back a couple of years to take on the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series of games. You get all the iron sighted weapons you can use,but ALL ranges are reduced to about 250 meters maximum,it takes about 3 t 5 pistol shots to drop anybody,2 to 4 rifle shots even with a scope, and most of the time, you just wasted your last grenade on someone moving too fast. Plus its on of the few games that dosen't allow you to crawl at anytime of the game.NO PRONE FIGHTING ALLOWED !!!

Hmm, your experience with the guns in STALKER are a lot different than mine.
Some of the rifles fire up to 400 meters and, of course, headshots are preferrable for one shot kills. There's a lot of armor wearing in that game, so...

Maybe your hoping for general purpose use of slings, bow and arrows,of even the use of atl-atl,javelins,spears,and larger rocks to throw--- CAVE MAN !!!

Call of Duty has better realism when loading differnt types of rifles. The Enfeild looks like it is loading the same way as the Spring feild rifle. If I had the time and the know how I would fix the errors and also add Iron sights. MP44 had stoping power and was accurate and how they could say the Thomson was better. Need some mods here or a patch to improve the game.

Because of the way most rifle scopes were mounted on both the Enfield and the Springfield rifles, the only way to load, and reload the weapons was single rounds at a time, since both were loaded with stripper clips of ammo, the Sprinfield with 5 rds. and the Enfield with 10 rounds, and both needed a straight path to properly load each rifle.

It wasn't until the M1 Grarand and the Japanese type 99,scopes were mounted to the left side of the breech of the rifle, and on some of the Jap 99's ,the scope was mounted as much as 4 inches above the breech of the rifle,so they could still use stripper clips. It wasn't until mid 1944 the japs finally lowered their scopes to 1 and 1/2 inches above the bolt of the rifle.
