Cannot get save games from the Steam Cloud
My computer died, I ended up getting a new one, re-installed stream, and downloaded Sniper Elite V2. Now I am getting an error message

"Steam was unable to sync your files for Sniper Elite V2 with the Steam Cloud"
"If you have launched this application from another computer, your application settings and/or progress may not be in sync with what is stored in the Cloud. If you launch this application now, you may lose those changes or progress."

I cannot find any way to force sync my progress from the cloud at all. What is the point of having a steam Cloud, if you can't get your data off it when you need it???

Does anyone know how to fix this???

It's all about if you alllowed Steam Guard or not.
Steam will let you download those files if you have Steam Guard disabled.
Steam Guard enabled will prevent you from getting files out of Steam Cloud if you connect on another computer.
I'd recommend you go on Steam specific TroubleShooting forums, this way you might find help from them regarding this synchronisation problem.

I get a message now and then about signing in from another PC but, I've never played it on another PC. That's dumb.

HAHA thanks a lot then, only my logic and own personal offline experience made this possible, glad it helped you :)
