Sniper Elite V2

Sniper Elite V2 keeps crashing in-game
Well... I can play the game for 15 - 20 minutes, then it crashes and I'm forced to close it with task manager. I played the first and second level without this problem. I reinstalled the game, tried many possible solutions founded on google. My computer matches the system requirements and can play on med with regular fps 40 - 60. Anyone else is experiencing the same problem? Thanks in advance!

Well... unfortunatley for me it didn't help. The thing I did noticed that I get an error saying: ''Display driver stops responding and has recovered.'' Maybe there is a way to figure out what causes that problem. I say it once again, I play on regular FPS games runs fine before crashing. When it crashes I can't move whole screen just freezes, then the music keeps running. After that I'm forced to quit the game via task manager.

Thanks for trying to help me daQk! Really appreciated

np m8...thats what community its all about... did you checked your video card temp? sounds like its over heating...might worth to try it

It's weird that it's overheating while I can run the game. I haven't got any problems with games with the same or even higher requirements. In my opinion it's just a problem in the game. To be honest I have to say that the game has many problems/bugs :( .

Try reducing your video resolution and see if it still crashes.

I already tried that but it also didn't worked. :(

Check the logs first. If you're running Windows 7, go to START and type Event Viewer in the address box. In the menu click on Custom Views (in the left column).
Click on Administrative Events and check in the middle column for the errors.
By clicking on an error you will see the information about the error in the window below with the tab <General>.

I have tried it but I couldn't find any errors of Sniper Elite V2/Steam.

Did you ever found a way to fix this? I'm having the exact same issue, and I'm well over reccomended specs, I can run this at a steady 60 FPS, hell, I played half the game without any issues so far, now, it just hangs after 5 minutes of play, while the background sound keeps playing.

Actually, I did. It's been a long time so I'm not sure how I fixed it. I believe the error stopped appearing when I reinstalled Windows (I also bought a new gfx, so I think that was the real solution).

Thanks, I found a way to fix it though, it was all on a faulty overclock.

yeah i only see the message that the Display driver stopped responding and has recovered if i have an unstable OC.

I'm not sure. Is "AMD HD3D" option the "Mantle"?
If yes, you should disable it and give it a new try.
SE3 has similar problems with Mantle. I think, that AMD has to work on Mantle more to get it useful.
