Still Crashes...
I bought this game a while back and havent been able to play it. reuben.exe, crashes just after the loading screen at start up. I have tried every solution I have found and emails to the developers have gone un-answered. I do really want to play it though...

i know how you feel, mine crashes on just the demo. not sure if it's a graphic compatibility issue, or if i'm missing a file or soemthing. soemthing i was going to try soemtime, is buy the full game, see if that streightens out the error. A friend of mine tried this with sanctum sicne he couldn;t get the demo to run with that either, after the full game was installed on his pc, it worked just fine. not sure if this'll work with everyone, but it's soemthing i thought i should mention.
same problem.
i bought the Canada Indie package to get this game and 1 other. i wish i hadnt bothered. the other game works great and this game crashes. and from what i can see this is an ongoing problem and i am kicking myself for not checking the community hub first, i always do except this 1 time. their out of steam forum has this problem going back to the first pc release with a pile of fixes that dont work. i'm pissed at wasting money on yet another steam game that doesnt work or get support.
i wont be buying anymore games from this company and will be letting others know to walk away.
well now i feel like an ass, i got the game to run about 30seconds after my post. i added
"-wimpy" without the "" to my steam launch options. WTF
Same probs for me too :(

Thanks a lot ! It finally works ! *__*
what's -wimpy do?
Game ALSO crashes randomly, tried adding -wimpy to properties, launch options for that game, nada, still crashes randomly.
steam has way too many games that won't start. they also never refund when this happens. lame....
I have done everything I have found about this problem and it seems it solved it. What I did was this: Ran it as administrator, set compatibility mode with windows xp, disabled visual themes, disabled desktop composition, wrote "-wimpy" in game properties on steam and also changed the setting of my graphics processor so that the game is run with my dedicated video card, rather than my integrated one. The thing is, the game only stopped crashing after I did the last step and I was finally able to finish the tutorial. Hope it helps.
