If you're having lag on a LAN network, then you need to upgrade your network infrastructure.
If you're lagging in Single player games, then you need to downgrade your game settings and/or upgrade your hardware.
if u have serious lags on servers with ping less than 350ms, it could b their problem. asw servers get into a desync bug if not restarted regularly [at least 1x / 3 days], and many dedicated servers do not.
in any case, u can use mappack 1.3 autoexec.cfg file to combat lag on ur side. given decent network on ur side, u should have no trouble playing games on server's relatively close to u.
