Portal 2
Portal 2 split screen coop NOT saving progress
Me and my buddy finished the first three test chambers then we decided to quit, only to find out our progress is restarted. I tried on different PCs but the results is the same. Valve needs to fix this issue.

I have the same problem -.- I thought it was a problem with the Steam Cloud because Portal 2 cannot upload my progress but i didn't find a solution.
dosen't it auto save after a whole test chaper section.
It doesn't autosave for a reason. Teh person might be a friend of yours, and so a different person might want to play with you, and so on.
In online mode, it saves your progress. Split screen mode, it doesnt save, heck even the step counting resets everytime you go to the hub.

Sorry but that comment doesnt make sense whatsoever.
Is there a possibility to save manually?

No
Hi, CreMax90. Because the game is running 'offline', it doesn't have access to the progress data in Steam. To make this work we'll need to rewrite quite a bit splitscreen session code that assumes multiple log ins.

Until we can tackle these bigger problems, is it an acceptable work around to have all testing courses unlocked for offline splitscreen?
In the meantime, everything unlocked would do just fine.

Thanks for responding.
That would work.
The patch should be available now! Thanks for your patience.
Awesome! Thank you so much.
Awesome work! Thank you very much for unlocking all areas and a great new game feature.

Hey, I am not understanding how to resolve the not saving issue with co op. Where is the patch? Is there no way to avoid having to start from the beginning every time?

The temporary fix became the permanent solution?
