Portal 2 Ending Theory
So I was thinking about Portal 2 and Greek Mythology recently, and I thought of this-

Based on Greek Mythology, when someone dies, they ascend to the 'heaven', which is a wheat or corn field, with their best friend at their side (which is the companion cube), where they can rest in peace, while they hear the singing of angels and the sound of instruments. This would mean that Chell was killed by the turrets, but it was so sudden that she didn't notice.
This could well be true, because there are more references to Greek Mythology, such as the broken turret talking about the Demi-God Prometheus. Discuss please!

*EDIT* Please don't argue, and respect each other's opinions. Also, if you have any more plausible/likely theories, feel free to comment!

See what you mean, he talks about promethus, that he was was thrown into the bowels of the Earth to be pecked at by birds.
This turrets isn't just crazy, because this is was happens to Glados.

This is true, and it could be have a double, secret meaning to give someone a frame of mind i.e. Greek Mythology

prometheus represents Glados. "cast into the bowels of the earth and pecked by birds." There are quite alot of myhtology references in video games in general.

The Story of prometheus has to do with the Pandora's box, and his brother opened it, Black Mesa openened Pandora's box in Hlaf life and Black Mesa is the "Brother" of Aperture science !

prometheus is chained to a ring from the bowels of the earth and this ring could be caroline for glados and there are hints that caroline is not completely deleted

But then Heracles saves Prometheus, and almost kills the bird... Portal 3 plot brewing here?!

Prometheus gave the knowledge of fire to man, which is funny cause thats the gift GLaDOS tried to give Chell in the first game, By that i mean she tried to throw chell into a vat of fire
Fire is used in portal 1&2 in very important events, and glados is somekind of phoenix from the ashes

Prometheus was a Titan, not a demi-god.
In Greek mythology, a soul would DESCEND into Hades, and, if they had proved themselves in their previous life, they would go to Elysium, like Heaven. (Numerous ancient Greek authors told these.) Also, during Portal 2, the player may experience Chell dying multiple times in-game, including SUDDEN death by laser walls/beams. The player/Chell also dies quickly when they are shot by turrets. There is no reason, if Chell was killed, to not experience that. Finally, if indeed it was "Heaven", why would there be a rusty old "High Voltage: Keep Out" shed in Heaven? Unfortunately, there is no real evidence for your claim.

It was clearly not to be taken so literally, and i can garentee you don't know more greek lore then what you just found on wikipedia.

If you know so much Greek lore, than surely you can see (no offense to the creator of this theory, it IS just a THEORY after all) that there are some things that are incorrect in his comparisons to Greek culture.
And what exactly do you mean this wasn't to be taken literally? The creator of this article has presented an idea, and you're trying to tell me that his whole discussion is a metaphor?

With evidence a dicision would be redundant. But there are some strong hints that the devs thought about greek mytology:
The Oracle turret talks about promethous and one of the devs called it Oracle turret.
That there is no 100%-compliance, doesn't mean that some parts can be based on greek mytology. Chell never dies during the story( till the end ?), only the player makes deadly mistakes, but not Chell, when the player fails that is not part of the story.
Some turrets ponting at you, what is more likely that they kill you or that they start to sing a song ?
