Portal 2 WILL NOT LAUNCH!!!!
I bought portal 2 the other day and it ran just fine, I tried playing it today and it won't launch, the "Launching portal 2" box opens and stays, but the game doesn't. Please tell me if this is a problem with steam or any ways to fix it, also, when i tried "verify the integrity of your cache" it would say close all games and tools and steam was the only thing I had open.

Go to Task Manager (Ctrl + Alt + Delete) then Processes tab. Then end the "portal2.exe" process. Now try launching Portal 2. If the problem persists, then end the portal2.exe process again in Task Manager. Now verify the integrity of your cache. See if it works.

If the task manager doesn't have the portal2.exe process, then I don't know.
