Portal 2 Won't Launch

Bought Portal 2 recently and every time I click the game, nothing happens. I tried the Verify Integrity Of Game Cache but still nothing.

And I'm having the same problem with Dota 2

Sorry, I don't know how to update my video card drivers. BTW This is my video card: ATI Radeon™ HD 6520G Series

mine wont launch either it gets to the loading screen then says portal2.exe has stopped working i really want to PLAY IT!!!!!!!!

I don't know much about computers but you should check to see if your computer meets minimum requirements. You can google those. If you really have problems, try emailing steamsupport or search their troubleshooting guide (it's online on steam's/ valve's website.) I'm sure that they can help you.

I checked the requirements in Can you run it? and my computer, at least, met the recommended. About steam support, it didn't helped at all, but i didn't send an email to them. At the moment i'm re installing the game.

Same problem here (Windows 7 x64 - Portal 2 up2date - NVIDIA Geforce GTX 550 TI with Drivers 310.90)
When launching the game, the first pictures appeas with the guy, then the game crash.

Well, the button "Verify Integrity Of Game Cache" resolved for me. Maybe try to uninstall / reinstall the game.

ah ... kids ... Check ur specs on the company ,that made ur pc, website (ex: toshiba) and put the MODEL NAME ( if u dont have the pc's MODEL NAME, god help u :\ ) once u know your specs check if they meet the ones on the game, if it doesn't your .... well F , but if u do have the hardware check the software at the companys website

I already checked them, the game should be fine at least at the minimum, I already said that so if you didn't pay attention, well F, don't think I'm an idiot, I searched for a solution for hours and nothing helped. Installing the game three times is really a pain in the *ss and I didn't came here for someone to criticize me.
