HELP ME! NEED HELP IMEDIATELY!!!
Ok, when i bought portal 2, i was able to play for 117 minutes (Run in like 25-30 FPS) and then i shuted down my pc. The next day i went to play portal 2, when i launched it, ok, but when i loaded my saved game it gave me a BSOD(blue screen of death). I already tried to troubleshoot compatibility, still doesn't work, i tried verifing game cache, nothing changed. I need help because i really want to play PORTAL 2!!! (pc specs: Core 2 duo , Intel accelerated graphics t6600, 6gb ram , windows 7 home premium operational system 64bits)

Seems to be a computer problem. Use a Virus Protection program and scan your computer for risks.

If that doen't work, part of the drive could be corrupted. I would say format it, but it would remove precious data. Might want to see a professional about it.

Ahhhh, i scanned for viruses, nothing, and about formating, i would lose a lot of precious data(Games, etc.) . I might call a professional and see if the problem its my hardware or its with the portal 2. Thanks!

Ah, now that I can see your specifications it all makes sense. The game would be running 25-30 frames because of the low processing power of the Duo, and the Accelerated Graphics are honestly quite fragile.

Basically, it's the Duo that is what seems to be the problem. The Duo can't easily handle high-power tasks (Such as Portal 2), and went into a Stack Dump when loading save data. It's just best to purchase a new computer. Preferbly with a Core i5 or i7, since both have much better intergrated graphics. It also might help to get a extra graphics card to be safe, but it won't be nessicary.

Hope this helped.

I don't think that the cpu is the problem: I have Core 2 duo and the game runs perfectly on Linux (!) where the system requirements are higher when playing a Windows Game. And I have max graphics settings.
People with 16 GB ram + Core i7 had the same issue.

I don't know your graphics card, but in your situation I would find a later graphics driver (I have nvidia gt320m, and nvidia has a beta channel for new and experimental drivers).

BTW search on Google: "portal 2 load bsod" and start reading the forums.

Well, i read a forum that said that the error may be a BIOS error, they reccomended me a program to update the BIOS, hope it works.
