I already gifted it away. I am not sure why they decided to make it that much harder. Today's audience are busy with work or school or family or whatnot, and I personally dont have time to come home to try to relax by playing a game which feels like a job trying to solve all those puzzles or to find the perfect path.

Plz make it more accessible with a patch, and I will reconsider it.

I personally found it really relaxing, and not challenging at all. But i guess its not for everyone.

I beat the game multiple times, its REALLY fun also i think games are too easy these days, i wish more games were hard as ball like sonic (original) or tmnt in time

The Portal Gun is the only "weapon" you get in Portal 2.

It's not a shooter like Call of Duty, Battlefield, etc.

Admittedly during some parts (specifically involving Cave Johnson) my brain was really stretched to find the solution. But never once did I have to go online to look up the solution. Portal and Portal 2 are physics puzzle games; they're supposed to bend your brain and make you look for unconventional answers to unusual problems.

As to "not having the time", I'm going to brutally call you out on this one. You very much have the time; you can pause and save at any point and in all honesty it does help to take breaks and come back to the game later with a fresh mind with new inspirations. Portal isn't designed to be a game you can beat in three to six hours, so sit back and relax. It's a GAME, not a contest.

I'm sorry you didn't enjoy it, but honestly your complaint says more about your lack of patience than the quality of the game.

You're thinking of this completely the wrong way. You will never get a "gun". You will never go in combat. The closest thing you do to fighting is knock over turrets.

Portal and Portal 2 are much more about making you think in ways you've never really considered before. If you get stuck, well, you get stuck. Be patient. Think outside of the box. Try things that you don't think will work on first glance. Place portals on places you didn't really consider.

The key to Portal and Portal 2 is PATIENCE. squirrellyotter is right. If you're patient enough ANYBODY can solve the puzzles. When you get stuck it'll feel that much better when you actually beat the puzzles. So relax. Pay attention to the dialogue, it's great. And don't expect the game to be something it's not. Your only "weapon" the whole game will be the portal game. Your only "goal" is to sole the puzzle. In Portal, nothing else matters, except perhaps the dialogue and story.

I'm glad I played the games, gutted I was late to the party. They're both fantastic. The second even moreso with the inclusion of the co-op stages.

I feel sorry for you. The Portal games are unique experiences you won't find anywhere else, and frustration with the puzzles is all part of the fun. I won't argue if puzzle games aren't your style, but you really should give them a chance.
Also, if you're having a hard time with Portal 2, beat Portal first. There aren't as many puzzle mechanics, nor as many total puzzles. It's not near as frustrating as the second game.
