Portal 2 bug
I can open my main menu just fine, but when I try to play any levels they won't work. The loading screen moves rather choppy, then after the game loads the screen goes black and I hear a continual sound loop. The weird part is that I have already played through a few levels, so I know the game works on my computer, save some lag.

try validating the integrity of game cashe
go to steam library and select portal 2
rightclick and select properties
local files
verify integity of game cashe

Well, the messages says that "One file failed to validate and will be reaquired". What does that mean? (I'm not super familiar with Steam, so I don't understand everything yet.)

I tried playing the game again after validating the files. It still doesn't work.
