Custom map crash
Well as the titel says Im hitting a wall of crash! I cannot hit play custom maps without the game freezing up when the menu changes for me to pick maps and I don't know what to do! Please help!

Im receiving crashes whenever I try to go to the Puzzle Editor or try to look at my own custom puzzles

Me too. Portal 2 crashes now when I am in the Community Test Chambers menu, then go to either Play Single Player Chambers or Create Test Chambers.

It then crashes, or sometimes after I click one of the maps (different ones, and not one or two in particular).

Have tried repairing the installation by Verify Integrity Of Game Cache. No errors found.

Playing, loading, saving normal Single Player campaign works just fine.

This is annoying as hell. I can't play or test my own maps or anyone else's custom maps. I started having so much fun creating new content for the community but this just kills it all. :(

I was having the same problem but found this solution in another discussion. Try it, it worked for me!
Go to your Library, CLick on Portal 2 with the right button, go to Properties/Local Files/Verify Game Cache

Have tried every suggested solution, none working. Re-installation worked but was time-consuming and it wasn't long before the problem showed itself again.
