Bluescreen, help!

Whenever I launch Portal 2, and I make it to the loading screen after the Valve logo, it gets a bluescreen. I updated all my drivers as well, also this is the only game I'm having problems with. Someone, please help!

Specs;
AMD FX 6100 Six Core Processor
NVIDIA GTX 650 Graphics Card
10 GB of Ram
1.14 Terobytes of Memory

I'm having the same issue and I have similar specs (AMD 4100 and GTX 650). Wonder if it's something related to the hardware/drivers we have?

I'm going to try the Orochi-CEG fix and see if that works.

I've got the AMD FX 6100 and the GTX 550 Ti, and I too am having this problem. Did the Orochi-CEG fix work for you?

I actually tried updating my bios first, since it seems that would provide a permanent fix if it worked. From what I read about he the Orochi fix, it would need restarted each time I played the game. Updating my bios worked. I'm now playing portal :).

Updating bios? How?

The motherboard bios. You'll have to know the MB manufacturer, model, and current bios version. Then check out the manufacturer webpage to see if it has any updated versions. Just some caution though, be very careful cause if something goes wrong you can ruin your computer. I only flashed mine because I was pretty confident it would help and there was a utility I could use to install it from windows.
