Dualshock 2 Joystick Problem (L3 Stick)
I'm very sorry for bad english; But maybe you can catch what I want to say.
I'm using Twin Dualshock 2 joystick controller using usb converting cable.
But, my L3 stick (right stick) works weird.
If I input up, then it shoots Orange portal.
Also, If i input down, then it shoots Blue portal.
And If I move the stick left or right, then Chell see upwards or downwards.
This weird thing happens on every other game that console is available.
Can anyone help me? I really want to play Portal 2 with console.

Sounds like the mapping is getting its analogue bindings mixed up.

What are you using exactly to map the buttons? I once had a similar issue when using an older Logitech USB controller. There are a few programs I know of that can help you rebind your controller keys:
-Joy2Key
-Xpadder
I haven't tried out the latter fully, but both I know definitely allow you to bind keys on your keyboard to buttons and axes on your controller and should solve the problem you are having. Hope this helps :-)

Thanks for help.
Actually, I use Joy2Key to bind keys when game don't support joypad control, that games like The binding of Issac, and other games...
But, Portal 2 supports joypad control, and I want to use that control without key binding - If I binds key for games using Joy2Key, then that control crashes with original control.
Now I'm trying to use Xpadder...
I think this is not problem with mapping problem. Actually, mapping program works well, but there are still some games that I can't bind key while using gamepad. ex) Skydrift
Also, it is to disturbing that binding keys one as one as keyboard, and sometimes, there's lack of keys to bind.
Thank you again.

Yeah, binding buttons to keyboard keys can only go so far unfortunately.

Anyhow, the mapping thing I was referring to was more about Portal 2/Source engine rather than the external mapping software. I once used an old USB controller with Portal 2's native controller input and I experienced similar symptoms of jumbled input.

So in that particular case with Source engine, you might have to find some software that emulates an Xbox 360 controller and map your DS2 to Xbox buttons and axes. I have heard this software exists, but I haven't done too much research on it. I did a Google search for "emulate Xbox controller" and it returned some promising results.

Thank you for keep helping me.
Oh, maybe that program is x360ce.
I'm trying to use that program with configuring setup....
Maybe I'll just try more... Thanks!

No problem, glad I can help out. I haven't done much experimentation with this, so I hope what I have provided might give some solution.

I might give one of these programs a whirl tomorrow with that USB controller to see how it works. Have to find it first though lol.

Actually, I think this problem occurs when I use old controller. My PS2 Controller is older than 7 years old, so maybe it is hardware problem. I'm trying to buy a new controller that completely fits on my connecter, so you may try as new controller.
