I can't launch PORTAL 2 (PC)
When I download it on my Mac it works fine.

Now whenever I want to launch it using my PC it doesn't work.

Now, I tried reinstalling it for 12 times and it doesn't work.
I tried to Verify the integrity and still doesnt work.
My PC works fine and fast so no problem with that. (I use Windows 7 (Intel i7))

Please help me.. :(

A Friend of mine had the same problem and this helped him:
http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1100021

1. Gain ownership of C:\WINDOWS\SYSWOW64\WBEM\FASTPROX.DLL and assign yourself Full control of the file if necessary.
2. Rename FASTPROX.DLL at this location to FASTPROX.DLLOLD
3. All steam games will now launch without shaderapidx9.dll error. System restore can still successfully generate restore points.

I had this exact same problem for 2 years, but i think this worked.
1. Uninstall portal 2.
2. Opt to run source in administrator mode.
3. reinstall portal 2.
4. it should prompt you to launch it before it launches, forcing it to launch.
5. if that dosen't work, god help you.
