Anyone else who has crash when selecting play single player chamber in the community test chambers? And does anyone know how to fix it?

you arent the only one crashing, except i'm crashing in any game mode. i just don't know how to fix it.

Validate your files. Go to Library -> Right click in Portal2 and select properties -> Click in "Local Files" tab -> Validate files (should be last button on that tab).
Worked on my Machine.

right clicking it but can't find "local files" tab. working on windows 7. Just says
General/sharing/security/previous versions/customize

Edit: go right click library on the *steam app*. I was trying to validate files through my programfiles x(86) folder

New issue. After validating files i had hopes it would work and tried to play it. Now while trying to launch the game the installer fails and reads an error (53) code. not sure where to go from here.

i hate how everyone reccomends to validate your files ...literally everyone is having problems with the game in the past week.
