Doesn't start on Linux at all
The game doesn't start on Linux at all, when I click on play it shows "Starting game" and just brings me back to Steam afterwards.

I've added a STDOUT and STDERR to file redirection to ~/.steam/SteamApps/Portal 2/portal2.sh and now it logs the following error:

pid 6297 != 6296, skipping destruction (fork without exec?)
ERROR: ld.so: object '~/.local/share/Steam/ubuntu12_32/gameoverlayrenderer.so' from LD_PRELOAD cannot be preloaded (wrong ELF class: ELFCLASS32): ignored.
~/.local/share/Steam/SteamApps/common/Portal 2/portal2.sh: Zeile 39: ~/.local/share/Steam/SteamApps/common/Portal 2/: Ist ein Verzeichnis
pid 6299 != 6296, skipping destruction (fork without exec?)

You have to opt in for the beta. Right click -> properties -> beta -> Beta - Beta

Ah, okay. Thanks. Now it's working as expected.
But who would have thought that it'd be hidden there?
