Crash to Desktop, no error, no dump.
I've seen lots of threads with a similar issue and haven't yet found the source of the issue. This isn't a new issue for me, it's been occuring for at least a few months. I've currently only had the issue on single player community test chamber maps (it's the only thing I play), and it doesn't seem to be the fault of the specific maps, as it occurs on every one I've tried.

The crash occurs within the first couple minutes after getting in game. It just crashes to desktop with no warning, freeze, or any indication that something went wrong.

Verified 100% cache multiple times.
32gb of System RAM (memchecked to make sure it's not faulty), 20gb free on last crash.
3gb VRAM, 2.5gb free on last crash.
No issues with other source games (or games running a different engine).

Is there an arg I can add to produce a log that might help me pinpoint the issue? I've checked the folder and it doesn't appear to be producing crashdumps or a log file of any kind.

Here's my full system specs, in case it's an issue with a piece of hardware and other people are experiencing the same thing:

Mobo: Gigabyte Z77x-UD3H
CPU: Intel Core i7-3770K
GPU: EVGA GTX 660 Ti FTW+
RAM: Crucial Ballistix 4x8GB (32GB)
SSD: 512gb Samsung 840 Pro (what I'm running the game on)
Sound Card: Asus Xonar Essence STX (Driver v7.0.8.1821)
OS: Win 7 Pro 64-bit

Any help would be appreciated.

It's happening to me, too
I REALLY want to play multiplayer but it's been about 4 months before I've played this game and now it won't load at all

It says "Could not load library client". Anyone know what it means. This is just before the opening the autosave picture.

I can play for a few minutes, either test chambers or single player (haven't tried MP since re-installing), and the same thing... just a crash with no warnings. My specs aren't as nice as MUNK, yet the game used to run fine, even on my Intel Chipset. My own created test chambers aren't loading, either, but not sure if that is due to un-installing the game about 2 months ago to format my HD. Hopefully an answer comes soon.

I have a similar issue, even applied the beta to no avail, I get the following in the windows logs:
Faulting module name: KERNELBASE.dll, version: 6.1.7601.18229
Anybody have a solution?

Verify game cache(right click on game in your steam library/properties/ local files/verify game cache). It worked for me!! It didn't find any corrupted file, but after that it was ok.

Nocturne, thank you so much for posting that! The problem just cropped for me today after not playing for a couple of months. Verfying the cache fixed everything.
