BEEMod triggers... ?
I want to make door than opens when I go in front of it and closes when I passed it.
The problem is if I use a "once trigger" it will open but not close (like if when I pass on it I drop a cube that will stay forever on this "button"). And When I use the "multiple trigger" it won't do anything. I don't understand the "logic gates". If this is the only way to make an opening/closing door, then can you help me, please ?
Thanks in advance ! :D

The trigger multiple should work fine, you also can connect 2 of them to a logic or gate and the logic gate to the door, this way the door opens a little sooner making it work a bit more fluent.

Is this gonna make the door opening just for once and closing permanently ?

Edit: I tried and it didn't even open the door.

That's not helping me : if I put a "once trigger", it will open the door but wont close it.
I want it to open untill the player passes throught it and to close permanently just after that.

once or every time the player walks to the door?

I made a puzzlemaker file for you containg both mechanics
https://www.dropbox.com/s/sbexdks7xs6zl29/1392662608.p2c
paste the file in SteamApps/common/Portal 2/portal2/puzzles/[long chain of numbers]
now it's available in your ingame puzzlemaker so you can see how to do it, I left the connection lines visible but if you use this in a map you need to hide them.
Good luck :)

Just once, like the second door after being taken to the test chamber by the elevator, the one next to the "chamber info pannel".

then you'll need the mechanic with the laser if you want it to open before and close after the player. if you let it start open you can just connect a trigger once to close it.

The door and the trigger multiple need to be positioned on two adjacent squares with the door aligned with the edge closest to the trigger multiple. The trigger multiple activates the connected object for as long as you are standing in that space. The door has a filter that prevents it from closing while you are standing inside of it. With the two next to each other, you walk into the trigger multiple to open the door, then you simultaneously walk out of the trigger multiple but into the door (the trigger multiple sends the "door close" signal, but you standing in the door holds it open), then you walk out of the door and it closes behind you.

What do you mean when you say that the trigger multiple does nothing? Are there other objects connected to the same door? Try making a new trigger multiple and connecting it to something like a laser emiter or light bridge. Leave the indicator lights visible for now to see if it is triggering properly as you walk into and out of it.

Look at the lastest Portal 2 screenshots. Look at their description, I explained what was going on.

Door and trigger 1 is how you need to do it in PeTI. If you don't like it, learn Hammer.

...Although, you could do two doors, combining "Door and trigger 1" and Door and trigger 5, maybe switching the first so that it is also a trigger once so you have less door closing sounds. The problem with doing that though is the second door is going to be facing the wrong direction with the front side of the door (the side with the picture) facing into the room.

@nintendo.erk
I don't know why it is a "p2c" file. What is it ? How can I use it ? It only shows a text to me.

a .p2c file is a portal 2 puzzlemaker file :)

Alright, I tested. What is the logic OR gate for ?
Even if I delete it, the door will work the same way.
But I can open it from both sides, I don't want that !
