Portal 2 Single Player to Coop CONVERSION

Back when Portal 2 was first released, I had started a project to mod all the single player maps to get them coop worthy. This included decompiling, modding, and recompiling maps, changing key moments in the campaign to support 2 people.

It was a massive project, and the support I got from the community at the time was next to none! So I scrapped it.

I would like to know what people think now.

Would you like this to happen? If I get enough people backing me I'll think about picking the project up again.

That was the goal, yea. I hadn't quite figured that out though so in the video we both had 2 portals.

Hey great idea i would love to see that it deffinatly would make the campagin a little more challenging and also the teamwork needed. Hey on a side note I heve been trying to find out a way to get parts of the campaign in my custom map but to no avial. If anyone can help please fill free to message me "jaydon382", But ya i fully support this project.

no, I wouldn't be so excited about playing this. players, including me, want something new, and a bit challenging, and the sp chambers would have the same dificulty (if not easier). other than that, the lines of wheatley and GLaDOS can mostly be used for one person. also, it'll be too much work for you. wanna know what I would like to play? the coop maps changed so, that they become solvable in single-player. maybe by using a paint gun like in the mod "Aperture Tag". that would be new and fresh.

I don't know if you noticed the challenge with the button, each puzzle would have to be adapted to work with two people (like this puzzle). One wall was removed so that one player had to "distract" the walls, and the other pressed the button.

yes but that's very buggy, and the maps are exponentially easier with 4 portals instead of 2.

I never finished Portal 2, and to this day I have a fatal glitch that makes me unable to ever play any singleplayer level again.

Do this so I can play the singleplayer campaign at last.

I'm curious on how you make a map available for co op, since you scrapped the project, I wanted to try it myself but you declined my friend request, so I suppose you arent the right guy to ask because contacting you is complicated. I know this is old too but maybe you can awnser my question here in the thread instead then?
