Portal 2
A question about the ending.
How did GLaDOS take control if Wheatley booby trapped the stalemate button? I mean after Chell shot the portal on the moon, it appears as if the vacuum from space pulled Wheatley out of the mainframe, but how did GLaDOS take control?

that's... a good point.
Hadn't thought of that...

how about, all these portal 2 walktrough is glados backup attempt after being shut down by chell in portal. So, he sent silly wheatley to encourage chell to power up her again by accident. Then Glados tries to kill her again. After some passing trough some test Glados decide to take risky chance to get rid of Chell, which is letting wheatley take control of the facility. Then she immediately regret the decision that she made. After being put into potato, She realize the value of life untill Chell found her and made a deal with her. Long story short, in the last moment of the Wheatley lair, she was able to sent the corrupted core and control some of the backup plan she made long ago. Which is, putting her main core back to her frame. That's why we missed this because we busy fighting Wheatley.

At last, her attempt was success to be powered up again but to get rid of Chell is hard which she obviously claim herself, instead she sent her to the ground.
try and consider this: aperture science is a spaceship! evidence: wheatly mentioned an escape pod, when chell shot a portal DIRECTLY on the moon, and nothing appeared when chell looked up... extra info: portal 1 was set while aperture science was on earth, the original apeerture science was launched with the new aperture science during the time that chell was asleep...

I have no idea what you are trying to say. Aperture Science is not on the moon because you enter the old test chambers from the first game. I guess they have sunny skies, the sun and wheat fields on the moon too?

I guess so, i want to go to the moon, i'm tired with all these nonsense human talking about. Seeing sun directly without atmosphere and plant wheat on dry lands. Must be a hilarious life.
Wheatly was removed from core forcefully and only remaining suitable core
DDomstar has it right. remember when Wheatley replaces GLaDOS early in the game the Voice asks if both cores accept the swap and GLaDOS refuses creating the stalemate and the need for the button. with Wheatley pulled out into space that means there's no objection to GLaDOS attempting to take control and no need for a stalemate button, she is able to resume control

How can she simply 'take control'? If you read my first post, you would see I asked how she took control after Wheatley was pulled out. You kind of just summarized my question with that post :P.

GLaDOS was the only core in the core transfer bay, and she said yes durning the core transfer so she was automaticly installed in her body.

I had actually thought of this before you posted that. But how can that be possible if you can see her dragging her core across the floor with a claw?

that's not her core, Wheatley had moved her into the potato which you plug into the machinery prior to the boss fight
Probably because the GLaDOS said yes and the "voice" didn't pick up on Wheatly's sarcasm, it automatically said yes for both of them and you needed to press the button. He prevented you from pressing the button, but the explosion might of destroyed the button as well. The "voice" must of senced the button was "missing" and so progressed even though the button was not pressed.

No it didn't say yes for both of them, it caused a stalemate because he then said no.

I mean aperture science is in the MIDDLE of space, with it's own atmospheric field (gravity, oxygen, etc.) plus a cloaking field on the outside of the atmospheric field.
