I can't start Portal 2

Ever since I bought the game from the steam summer sale I have not been able to start the game. Whenever I try to play it, I get the preparing to launch portal 2 message and nothing happens. I have uninstalled, reinstalled, verify appcache, and deleting the folders, and still no luck. I really want to play this game, but I don't know what else to do.

I've had this same issue, I had to un install and re-install and It worked fine... in your case, you might not meet system requirements to play it... go ahead and check the portal 2 requirements page and see If you have everything you need to run it... if you are good with that, I don't know what else to tell you, sorry bro, help this helps!
