How do the high lvl people find multiplayer enjoyable?

Everytime I join some high lvl game, they instalock on of the following: 1. Solo Pit Fiends Aidan(about 55% of games) 2. Solo Angels Varkas (20%) 3. Solo Death Knights Markal (20%). Seems like noone even touches Academy or Elves. What's even worse, when I want to pick Aidan or Varkas for a change, they will often leave or kick me.

That explains those high winrates of some people, they simply play only against whatever is suboptimal, or until they get their desired matchup, e.g. they won't play Aidan against undead in fear of having their precious walls reduced to half, even though it's just a soft counter. Or they won't play vs Varkas, because ♥♥♥ Varkas, who wants to deal with 220 dmg angels?

Anyway, does anyone have any fun strat that works? My personal favorites are Anwen with Dragons and revive ring and also Azexes with the revive item.

I think you have a lot of reason here; usually when I have played I only saw "Aidan-Pit fiends". This game has a plenty units,artifacts etc to develop new strategies...but the sad part is that using only elite units,against champion units..is way difficult to win : s

Yeah, man, you are right, however I find that there are lots and lots of viable strategies. Those three you've mentioned are definitely beatable.

they really need blind hero pick (meaning your opponent can't see which hero you pick) and vice versa

Yeah you charge up enemy mana and then they kill your pitiful 25hp with any spell. Might at least work against Varkas, though.

It's pretty easy to link 2+ skelly formations with a ghost which gets the ghost at about 65. If you are able to fuse (which isn't that hard either) then you are well over 100 and they can only block you with a single line instead of 2 if you were attacking with a champion unit. Add to that the fact that there are only 2 things that can damage ghosts and most of the time your opponent has neither.

You can play Nadia with absorb circlet, djinns and phoenix... most powerful and annoying combo in the game if you ask me.
