Disconnecting freaks!
Why is it that people always disconnect one or two turns before getting their butt kicked...
Worst thing about this game

Every online game should have a loss for disconnecting. I just played my very first online match, against a Lv. 229 player, and as soon as I got ahead of him, he disconnected. Way to encourage more people to play the game...

I refuse to play with people who disconnect on purpose. That is just childish and petty and does not respect the other player in letting them see the final results of their work. Heck, I already feel cheated when the *game* itself doesn't let you finish all your giant moves before the match ends. No need to add to that disappointment.

However, I have not played multiplayer on PC yet, though, only PS3... Is there a method of communication on the PC version? I usually let people know if there is a thunderstorm in my area and if my net goes down, I'll make a courtesy message if I accidentally disconnected. Heck, one time I got disconnected simply because my husband decided to start playing Battlefield right then, which promptly lagged me out. I was so ♥♥♥♥♥♥, cause I was recording a video of my full spread army that was all set to go next turn and then... BOOM! LOL

yhea, this game is full of childish players

Nope, no form of communication whatsoever in the pc version.
You can make friends via steam.
Anyway, the server quality is so bad these days I can't even play a game....

I do that too, why waste X minutes when I have no chance? It's like surrendering.

Wow.. you come in here to tell us you're a bad player? Way to go. For your information, it is not surrendering when you crap the game out. You can call it whatever you want and try to justify it, but in reality It's being a whiny child not wanting to get a loss on your record. Waiting for the other player and allowing them to get their win and see the results of their carefully set up combos is called GOOD SPORTSMANSHIP. You're not surrendering, man, you're ruining the other person's experience!

We don't think "They surrendered! We won! Haha!" No, man, it's more like "Great, another whiny childish disconnect just because I had two angels ready to go at the same time next turn. God dammit, I really wanted to see the final blasts and take a screenshot of that!"

Now do you understand?!

Exactly, just frustrating...
Losing is part of the game, as is wining, if you're not up for it, why bother playing at all ?

Oh, you don't see your angel blasts, big deal. You still get the same xp reward and we get a disconnect in our stats. And people don't always leave 1 turn before losing, but sometimes even 5+ turns when it's obvious they're beat. It's the nature of the game, e.g. when I have 30 hp, while enemy has 90hp and a charging 150dmg champion, and my reinforcements suck so much that it's impossible to defend, what should I do? Skip turn 5 times? Or somehow make 6 rows of walls to die anyway?

On the other hand when someone leaves when I'm winning, I don't mind. E.g. today one 70hp guy left the second I used Markal's spell, as we both knew how it would end so he saved us some time. But yeah, sometimes I leave simply out of spite, when a guy wins due to ridiculously lucky draw(s), when the game god seems to be like "YOU WILL NOT WIN THIS MATCH NO MATTER WHAT, HAHAHA"

Tldr: As I said, leaving=surrendering=losing. If you disagree, it's your problem.

So, what are you calling "Disconnecting" in this discussion? I just tried some online games and when I noticed I was no match for a lvl 457 player, I chose "Exit game" from the menu because I couldn't find a surrender options anywhere. Do you count that as a disconnect?

We both are having the same problems with plyers who disconnect often especially the ones that are higher levels and have a lot of wins more than losses. I totally agree I think Steam should set up that whoever disconnects on purpose gets a loss.

I see your point, I realize the first online game I played that there's no "surrender" option, so I quited. My friend didn't understand what happened so I guess he didn't won XP or whatever.
So last time somebody kicked my ♥♥♥, I spend 4-5 turns passing and waiting the final blast. Sorry but if I have no choice (the game has not), I think quit is better. Not a ragequit, it's just a
way to save a ridiculous time. Quit because you don't want to lose your god-stats is childish, but please don't get mad with people who has no chance and quit (I'm a new player against lvl300 monsters).

There is no way to surrender in this strategygame. This is like not having a way to give up in chess when you think it's futile to continue. Of course most people would quit instead of staying for the inevitable checkmate!

The gamedeveloplers have kind of neglected the nature of strategygames when they didn't include a surrender option. Please don't blame the gamers that want to quit at a lossscenario for that.
