I have it, but I don't remember exactly. The tooltip leads me to believe that you wrap the object unsuccessfully, unwrap it (don't reset), then wrap is successfully.

Kaizokuko, if Gordian is the one that says "Blindly Refuse Defeat" then you wrap something with all the string and keep tugging on it. I don't think it matters if you have any actual percentage of the object completed. (About 5, maybe 10 tugs should do, but keep going til the achievement pops up.)

Bobby, I think you're thinking of a different achievement where you have to wrap something 100% then take it down to 0%. Good memory though.

Thanks, I'll try that! (I'm sorry for the delayed response)

I just got this achievement, it was kind of unexpected so I cannot be 100% sure, however I think you have to tie up without seeing, that means rope should be on the other side of object.

It says 'Blindly Refuse Defeat', thus when you tie up you do it blind without seeing the rope ;)

I just received Gordian. I did it on hedgehog by circling the rope around him until it ended. Then, i pressed right mouse button so i saw the face of hedgehog in front of mine and then I just moved entire creature up and down until the rope popped. Badam tss, achievement earned

It would make sense for the achievement to involve breaking the rope, because Gordian is an allusion to a story about Alexander the Great who when asked to untie an impossible knot, cut the knot in half. Solve your problems with violence, kids. It's easier.

No, it has nothing to do with breaking the rope. You have to blindly refuse defeat. You have to use all the rope, but not finish paiting the object 100%. Run out of rope and tug it 5 or 10 times. Just "blindly" refuse defeat.
That's all you have to do for Gordian.

I found this achievement by accident.

[edit:] My totally helpful explanation is in fact for the Pacifist achievement. Gordian was pretty easy on the hedgehog of the tutorial tree. Just make sure you wrap around the nails near the finish nail once it starts glowing. It's a good idea to spent a lot of rope around the rest of the object first.

Screwed up Gordian achievement, which is in fact Pacifist:
On the first tutorial tree there is the moose, where you encounter the first nailbombs. I was curious if I get a failed screen by using all the rope without colouring the object itself and this moose is not painted by wrapping it up. Just make sure you don't accidently hit one of those nails. I simply wrapped up the feets round and round and the achievement popped up.
