I just hated how AoW 2&3 went all Heroes of Might and Magic on us rather than commanders being movable units on the field, AoW 1 all the way!

Hope Triumph Studios is making a remake c.q. real sequel to AoW 1... But who knows... for a small company, PC-only games are not as attractive as console games. Bye TBS games!

That's ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. PC Games are way more flexible than console games, even after the releases of titles that show the variety of games that can be made on console - PC still win over console. The only "attractive" thing is the actual console, not the games - because they always look better on PC anyway. Plus - A game like this, wouldn't really do well on the console at all. The controls would be diabolical.

Hey. In game, click on the dragons face in the bottom left, and scroll up and down the options.

The dragon's face changes. I love Age of Wonders. That is all.

Yea, this has been my favorite computer game since it came out. I don't think it works with steam if you want to play online, though..

Indeed my favourite game of all time. I had to get it on Steam because my disc has become useless.

same here, just blasted through the campaign again for the first time. I was so bummed when my disc became unreadable years ago, now i'm happy again :)

Amazing classic. Pitty that they ruined it for good with the changes in the sequels.

I know its probably a false hope, but still waiting for a sequel that goes back to what made the original possibly the best turn based strategy pc game of all time

Just made a nostalgia purchase of this game (well, the whole trilogy) and I'm amazed how good it still looks for a game released thirteen years ago. It's every bit as good as I remember it.

You guys are playing a different game than I am. The one I'm playing sometimes skips your turn, looses track of the type of turn mode (simultaneous or sequential), and occasionally uses your personal save game as its autosave. You can't even cycle through active units without paging through all of your units, much less just the ones that have move left. No move que. No walk to destination. Most of the things that alieviate the need to micro each and every unit aren't there. It may simply be a function of the game being as old as it is, but basic gameplay conventions of the genre are missing.
