How to get 4 stars on every level?
What are the factors considered for the 4-star rating?
Speed, no damage, combo kills, or just secret rooms?

Cause there's some levels where I can't find any secret rooms and I still don't get 4 stars.

(Sorry, my capital i just stopped working. One of those days, i guess...) Speed and time are NOT factors, ever so take your time and explore or whatever. Try to get all of the FRIENDS (remember to watch for those things where you can only see their eyes until they quickly manifest and try to latch on to you), and try to get all of the COiNS. You have to visit all areas on a level, no shortcuts, and they can be tricky about it, having you discover a Portal when there's much more to the level to explore. You really need to check the Map several tmies durnig a level (use TAB.) if you miss a Secret Area or ANY area in the level, you won't get 4 stars. Some levels do not have any Secret Areas while another level might have two or three.

Then there's the "x-factor," levels i know i've gotten all the conis and all the friends and all the Secret Areas (if any), and it still won't give me 4 stars. Sometimes i'll go back and find another litle area i'd missed. i used to think it had to do with your choice of "Chum" but i use Darter for every level now and have (eventually) gotten 4 stars on all. Sometimes i think they just randomly require you to play the level two or three times, although when i replay a level there's a good chance 'll run across something i had missed before and never noticed.

i hope some of this helps. Good luck and have fun!

Thanks but a friend of mine showed me this BigFishGames forum thread where it's all explained.
- You start with 1 star
- 1 for collecting all coins
- 1 more for saving all the glow friends
- 1 more for killing all enemies (that includes bubbles). Don't forget the invisible ones!

Great! i forgot to write about the most obvious - ENEMIES, LOL. A lot of times you'll have to backtrack a bit to make sure you've got them all. One type will combine wth others of it's type to make one larger enemy of the same type. i don't think it counts against you if you end up killing what used to be 10 of these but have combined and are now 4 of the same. One enemy to watch for is the invisible one, where at first you can only see it's eyes. Some areas will have a lot of these that you'll need to get. Just troll with your friends trailing and you'll attract them a lot faster that if your Friends are orbitting you.

Once i got started playing this game, i just loved it! i hope you have fun.

Does this apply also for stage 1 level 10?

The level where you race againts your future 2nd chum buddy.
I don't see how you can obtain everything in that level and finish first at the same time.

According to this site[forums.bigfishgames.com], you'll get 4 stars just by beating Darter. Enemies and coins are just a distraction.

I got it now, it seems you still need be fast and finish way ahead of your opponent to get 4 stars. There's even an achievement for getting 4 stars in that specific level.

Digging up this thread for all the people who bought the game in the bundle. Something that helps a lot and might not be that obvious: you can zoom out. It really helps to not miss any coins.
