It's an old game, so any computer that was made 2007 or later should run it great. You'll need a few unoffical files to get it running, but afterwards, it's fine.
For a dated game, you'll notice that the game doesn't have HD graphics or anything. But any Star Wars fan (such as myself) will tell you that these Jedi Knight games developed by Raven are, by far, the best Star Wars games out there. The lightsaber combat is engaging and you can run around with a single lightsaber with your choice of fighting style, use dual-wield lightsabers, or channel your inner Darth Maul and use a staff. There's a plethora of force powers to use, even the movie ones such as Jedi Mind Trick and Force Choke. While the multiplayer side is most likely dead, the singleplayer experience is fine on its own.
But the best part is the modding community. Adding mods is almost as easy as downloading files from the Steam Workshop, and Star Wars fans are probably the most creative people out there. You can play as Darth Vader for your Sith needs, or give the game a comedic effect and saber people as Homer Simpson, Duffman, or even Bender. There is a singleplayer mod that allows you to romp around as Jack Sparrow. If you wish the game had more up-to-date graphics, somebody has created an HD texture overhaul, and there is also a Widescreen mod to make the game fit a 1920x1080 monitor properly.
Overall, I give this game a 9/10. It's definitely a unique experience with or without mods and even if you aren't a fan of Star Wars, you can still have a great time with this game. If you love Star Wars, you'll love this.
Oh, and grab the source code. What is in there is hilarious.
