Is it just me or..
Is it just me or is this game a lot harder than I remember it being as a kid? Ha. I've had to use the guide a few times now, like at the Mayan temple

I am feeling you on that one. I got stuck several times and had to walk away. Maybe I don't have the patients to sit and click on everything for 4 hours to make it past one room.

Yup, happened to me too: we're "spoiled" by nowadays quick games, I think it's a similar effect as with oldish films/TV series: You think that nothing happens, scenes seem too long... it's a pity. But loved to finish Atlantis this time around!

I bought this for my Amiga back in 1992 and I should still have it somewhere. I'm a little bit scared buying it on Steam, the memories I have from this game are a real treasure.

Most games tend to be. I don't know why, whether it's being used to easier games now or if there's just some sort of magic to being a kid playing a video game.

Most games really are easier. Just compare Super Mario Bros. to any recent Mario game, or compare the Telltale point & clicks to the Lucas Arts one. Games opened up to a broader market, which for many meant to decrease difficulty. As a more experienced player you lack the challenge. But what indie games do wrong, IMHO, is that they make games so difficult that you often feel they lack proper balancing, and games become a chore.

I thinks it's about the same, we just have less time to spend on it at once. I remember it being pretty tricky as a kid too.
