Play as Colonies

In the game colonies can declare war on other countries and make one sided deals.Why cant we play as colonies and do the same with a little military production facilities sprinkled in. We should be able to fight for independence by declaring war on the mother country.

Colonies are controlled in many aspects by their parent countries. We did not create a feature that would balance playing with limited control of your region. There are lots of things on our wishlist that, given more resources, we would be very happy to add to the game but this is very low down the list. It's just not a feature of the game.

Regions can be modded to make a part of the world playable.
