Flame Units.

Are they effective is my question. I've used to the engineer units to a certain extent and they seem to be a decent force, but what do they really do better than putting some Cheassure FAMAS's in the forest? Just something that came as a good question to me when I was playing.

Flame units are great against morale. If there's a forest of infantry you want routed, flame tanks are a great way to do it. I've not sued them much, but I've found it useful to have my own infantry ready to exploit the damage being done by the flame tanks.

how usefull is it to clear a village of enemy infantry/vehicles?

It depends. They work well in supporting an attack themselves, but the combination of low speed + light armor + close range means they can't lead an attack. They're useful for sure, but they're a supporting unit not a front line one.
