The game has great looking screenshots, but don't stop to enjoy the view while actually playing, you'll get lit up.
Other obvious missing features are autosave and quicksave.

We need all the help we can get.
Must be as simple as that because I have no problem or issue with doing that.
Why not try playing ranked games against other players and see if that improves for you.
Alternatively I hear that Lego games have plenty pause features and autosaves and you can run around with endless lives smashing things up.
If it was _real_ time, you'd be right. But these games should be called Accelerated Time Strategy, because the pace of a turn based game is much closer to how events happen in the real world.
A lot of people (or at least me) don't enjoy engaging in clicking duels with a machine, and because of that they (or at least me) don't buy strategy games which cannot be paused while still being able to issue orders. And that is an optional feature everywhere where it exists; if you don't want it, you don't use it.
Watch your replays to zoom in and look at the pretty graphics
Just answer the effing question. And if you dont know just stay silent and browse on.
Apparently there IS a speed hack btw wich lets you not quite pause the game but at least slow it to a crawl or even speed it up in lull phases. You have to use cheatengine for it. Just google around.
I was frustrated with the game for exactly this reason. Now with that hack I might give it another shot. Wont buy another game from that series until they give us a pause&command for sp though. Gotta punish laziness.
