Can you enjoy the game if you prefer SP or Skirmish?
Have played many different strategy games and really the only one I was comfortable playing with others online was World in Conflict. Players who enjoy this game have said that the game is a ton of fun on multi, but I was wondering if Skirmish or the campaign were worth the price of admission. I'm not afraid of a challenge. Supreme Commander and Men of War have shown that :).

I enjoyed the campaigns quite a lot. Enough to make videos out of each mission in fact. I'd estimate I've spent maybe 50 to 100 hours playing the single player missions, trying out varied unit compositions and tactics. Skirmish is a bore, though. Don't fear the meat! Join us in multi!
Would anyone else mind adding some additional feedback? Thanks for the post Hob!
The campaigns aren't that great. I did the German one and parts of others just to get some stars early on. After a certain point they become incredibly hard, and not in a good way.

As far as I'm concerned, for all intents and purposes, this is multiplayer game, and a superb one at that. Skirmish is multiplayer vs. the computer. So I guess I'd say its a good game if you like skirmish.

If you're afraid of going online with this, don't be. It's not a matter of having Asian reflexes like other RTS games, and the playerbase has players of all kinds of skill levels. If you see someone with a high rank, ignore it; all it says is they've played a lot, it has nothing to do with skill. The other day me (level 40 something) and a couple level 20s completely rolled a team of level 90s.

If you feel too much pressure when playing RTS games online, simply stick to 3v3 and 4v4 games.

I suddenly want to play online more now. Thank you :D
I haven't played MP yet, but I'm really enjoying Campaign and Skirmish games, so the answer is yes.
Like Company of Heroes I suppose - Campaign was fun, then MP keeps you coming back?
I agree the multiplayer is the bread and butter, watch it though one of trhe main things that keep this games multiplayer servers low is the few regulars that are total douches, It is always satisfying to own a douche after he talked a bunch of smack, lol, oh and teammates will screw you over so plan your tactics accordingly.....
