What happened to mod tools? Also this game is a masterpeice.

I heard a long time ago that they were going to make mod tools for this game to spice it up but what happened to that? I just got the game, its amazing.. but the one thing its lacking are the paratroopers, IL-76's and airfields. Other then that I'm loving it.

Paratroopers are in the game, but the only real difference between them and regular infantry is that they generally have better stats. They can't be deployed via Parachute, but I am hoping that will be a feature in the sequel.

Like Arcindrus said, I'm looking for something like that to be in W:ALB. We may get fully functional paras, tac air, bigger AA or static AA units and a host of other adds and fixes. Take a look on the forums here and at the main site for more info on AirLand Battle.

Ohh, think of a warthog jet in Wargame, that sounds glorious! Or how big the maps will be to support this stuff. . .

I don't think the maps are big enough to really support jets in the sense that you would buy them like other units, deploy them like other units and they would be on the map until either objectives accomplished or until they die. Jets though could be implimented as strike packages. They could even add infantry like the US Air Force Combat Control which is a Special Forces soldier that works within all branches of infantry to call in air strikes. This would definitely be possible, but we'll just have to wait and see. :D

About para dropping in ALB. http://www.wargame-ee.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=91&t=24371 here they give us a hint that it may be in the game, but don't expect to much as they have also said that there won't be any
