Pit Stop: Good grief!
What can I say, I am stuck on this mission.

I can clear the refinery with no problems, but that's where my success ends. Once I start a push toward the final objectives, I get eaten alive. I know the "ideal" strategy is to launch 3 simultanious attacks on the 3 command points, but I just don't have the force to make that happen.

I've watched Hob's walkthrough on YouTube, and I can't seem to replicate his moves. I've tried arty attacks, and have hit almost nothing. The only thing I really haven't tried is to mount a help attack. It stands to reason that all of the command points would be garrisoned, and covered with AA, but maybe not. I'll have to try that...

Any advice would be much appreciated.

After taking the refinery you're probably low on troops. The key is finding a piece of property you can defend without taking huge losses.

Last place you attack is the refinery. You pick off the other enemy 1 group at a time on the periphery.

I really didn't have a problem clearing the refiniery. I lost a BMP and some infantry, but didn't have a problem otherwise.

I was having problems pushing forward after clearing the refinery. I just couldn't find a good way to mount an offensive.

I finally decided to move up the right side with a decent force, and take out the first command zone, then moved left to right. I kept infantry in the zones after I cleared them (just in case). Once I had one zone clear, I was able to bring in some air support and operate out of that zone.

It took a couple of attempts, but finally got it.

Hob, you just make it look to easy man.

DelroyMonjo, thanks for the advice!

The video isn't quite representative, since I opted to not use any first line units. This cut off my access to T-64s, T-80s and other good stuff. There are other challenges in the upcoming missions, as noted in the video description text. As such it's maybe not the most helpful walkthrough. :)
