I'm running Windows 8 on a brand new laptop and it runs on mine.
why the hell would you want w8 on anything else than a tablet. Actually why would you run w8 even on a tablet.
Pretty much any game works on Windows 8. They are all backwards compatible. I have Windows 9 Pro x64 and its much faster than Windows 7. That is coming from someone that has over 1,000+ games across multiple machines.

Because It's an execellent operating system and Microsoft's best product yet. The many ways it improves general productivty make it very much worth the upgrade but random comments hating on the OS are amusing to some I suppose.

I'm running the game on Windows 8 64 bit with no issues. Installed like any other game, hope you enjoy if you purchase. I'm a bit overwhelmed right now with all the unit choices :D
i have windows 8 pro 64x and it works great for every game, and i kno this is beside the topic can someone help me my game keeps freezing and it wont let me play anything

Windows 8 is excelent my friend. Most of the "hate" you read about is from people who have never used and are ignorant to the facts. I haven't had one issue with W8 since lanuch. Runs all my games, Pro Tools, and Visual Studio 2012 is awesome!
I didn't want Windows 8 after what I had read about it. Fact is, I didn't have a choice. The system came with it pre-installed. I decided to study Win8 while it was being shipped to me and now I've been using it for a little over a week. I don't like the clunky Metro UI. I would like it much better if I had a touch screen. It works well for doing simple things like getting the news, weather and email if you have an MS account. I don't. Since I knew there was a way to put a start key in if I wanted, I tried to just use it as it was. I have to tell you that, coming from XP, I actually like win8. It's very fast and powerful. Once you get past the KiddieMetro, there seems to have been improvements made on Win7. While it does take some getting used to because your file and task pathways have changed, some aspects of the new menus are actually more intuitive. Your ability to interact with the system starts out a little hidden but then you see that things are grouped together well. Took me less than a week to get somewhat comfortable using it. Haven't had a problem yet. I use shortkeys to avoid the Metro garbage and it's fine. Learn about the differences FIRST and how to compensate for them and you should be Ok with it. I'm not tech savvy at all so if I can adapt, anyone can.
so i get window8 pro or window 8 home? coz i going buy in week
