Nazi imagery
I've found there's quite a lot of Nazi imagery in certain player's avatars and so on... but today I found a player bearing the clan name of "Legion Condor", a Nazi brigade sent to Spain -my country- to kill and bring down the Republic.

I'd wish to suggest Eugen to keep an eye on this disgusting practices.

The avatars are all Steam avatars. You can report the players to Valve (on their profile page). Same goes for clans, provided they have a Steam group.

While I don't presume to know the reason for people using such images and names, I think either way it casts a negative public image on those players, regardless for their reasons.

The same could be said for the Hammer and Sickle though, Millions of people died in the Soviet Union from Starvation alone, and Tens of Millions died in China during the Great Famine.

Millions starved to death in British colonial India too but nobody would complain about a British flag avatar.
That being said, F nazi's.

Doesn't feel like a strong moral high ground, does it?

Lets glorify and trivualise conflict in a game format but please don't insult my people

There is one easy way to avoid seeing these images and names.....

...glaring phallacy

Not quite sure what a "glaring phallacy" is..could it be a careless mis-spelling of "fallacy"?

Either that or I've just been called a 'galaring erect p***s'!

I'm sure the champion of censorship and strict codes of conduct for participants wouldn't stoop to name calling? Would he?

Where are Eugen when you need them?

Yes, fallacy. Pardon me if do not speak as good an english as I should. We could have this conversation in Spanish should you saw it fit.

Pointing out a fallacy is not name-calling, period.

Comparing a game with reality and suggesting I am merciless and always ready for a bloodbath because I like my games without the images, names and emblems of the murderers of half Europe is somewhat better?

why is it so offensive to have nazi imagry or phrases that war was a long time ago you cant say just the nazi's are bad. the brittish have done similer things such as the Glen Coe Massacre were the scottesh highlanders were killed because they highlanders so if thats the case i think the unionjack is offensive and so is the english language. the diffrence is i was not allive then and it was along time ago none of us can change history like that so why cant we joke about it sulking and moaning wont help.
btw i dont find the brittish flag or english language offensive.

@Opus.....Nazi imagery, Soviet imagery (in deference to the Finns, Polish, Baltic States etc), British imagery (ref former colonies, Argentina, Afgani's), French imagery (Angola, Indo-China), Japanese imagery (ref China, Phillipines, US) and for that matter US imagery (cause pretty much offends everyone it seems) etc....etc...etc

There are precious few flags that haven't at one point been responsible for something or other dubious and disgraceful in recent times. Do we ban them all?

My point is that Its a question of perspective.

The original poster in my opinion has lost complete perspective.

Save it for the big and important battles...you'll have more impact.

"Do we ban them all?"
Not if we're in the middle of the road. I think you basically start down the list at the top and at some point, yes you have to stop. Is that hypocritical? Yes in a way but you never want to base laws strictly on strictly black/white criteria. I am a big fan of Japan/Japanese culture but the rising sun is something I'd never use.
Yes, everything is a point of perspective but at some point you have to stop making it about you and make it about those it affected and weigh a bunch of things, not just FOS.
